A NEW BRITISH MUSICAL
Hapless thirty something Grey (short for Graham) is newly out of prison and has his 15 year old daughter Silva over for the weekend. He’s never been the best of single dads but he’s not left the flat all weekend so Silva packs him off to go and audition for a band - ‘Rick and the Swimmers’ - and resurrect his teenage rock star dreams. They invite him to join the team and he realises... he’s actually signed up for an all-male Synchronised Swimming team. A comic and poignant new musical exploring the crisis of masculinity through a collection of oddballs belting their way through an indie-rock score. Inspired by the Swedish Documentary ‘Men Who Swim’. With choreography from Mark Smith (Artistic Director or Deaf Men Dancing).
