This ragged and vital play presents the fraught relationship between a dogmatic leader-warrior and his changeable, democratic community. The values of the blinkered individual are set against those of the people, in a play which questions whether heroes can exist at all.

Delyth Jones studied English at Cambridge University, graduating in 2003. Having left university she worked for two and a half years for the Royal Shakespeare Company, as assistant to the Advisory Director and Shakespearean expert John Barton. She now works as a freelance director and in addition assists Corin and Kika Redgrave. Forthcoming projects include TONY BLAIR THE MUSICAL and the site-specific W.C. - both are to be performed at the Edinburgh Festival 2007.
